ABOUT US

Carbon Capture by Communities was set up early in 2022 by Richie Alford.  After more than 30 years working for international development charities across three continents, and specialising in smallholder agriculture and community development, he was inspired to set up a new way of working to address the challenges of climate change.   Having spent his entire life either farming himself or supporting farmers, he is passionate about the important role farmers play in their local communities, and about how they manage their land.

 

We are experienced professionals and highly knowledgeable about the solutions available to smallholder farmers to promote biodiversity whilst securing good incomes – a genuine “Win Win Win” solution to today’s environmental crises

Carbon Capture by Communities supports UK companies to reduce their use of Carbon in the way they do business.

 

For most companies it will not be possible to eliminate all Carbon consumption from their way of working.  The remaining Carbon can be out to great use, and we will use funds to support environmental sustainability practices on smallholder farms.
