Leading the Way to Net Zero
More and more companies want to measure their Carbon footprint, but are not sure where to start.
Contact us and we will take all the worry away, and do all the calculations for you.
Step 0ne: Measure
The most important thing is to know where you start from.
CCC will support you to choose a baseline year, and calculate the Carbon footprint from your Scope 1 and 2 emissions for that year.
CCC will ensure your business is Carbon neutral by offsetting your emissions for that year.
Step Two: Reduce
CCC will then support you to create an environmental policy and sustainability plan to set out the targets and processes your business will follow to decarbonise, and transition to a low Carbon business.
CCC will set up a system to monitor all your emissions – Scope 1, 2 and 3 going forward. (Scope 3 are the tricky emissions to monitor, as you are not in control of these!)
Step Three: Capture
For most businesses, there will always be a residual Carbon footprint, some Carbon that cannot be taken out of your activities.
To become Carbon neutral, this will need to be offset or captured somewhere.
CCC offers a number of different packages with communities to capture this residual Carbon.
Carbon Footprint Explainer
Scope One Emissions
These are classified as all direct emissions generated from the combustion of fuels in your business activities – gas boilers, petrol and diesel engines, air conditioning units, etc.
Scope Two Emissions
Emissions from electricity purchased and used in your business. These are indirect as the emissions are created during the production of the electricity, not by your business.
Scope Three Emissions
Everything else!
Typically, this is the greatest share of your business Carbon footprint, made up of all the emissions embedded in the materials you procure (both up and downstream value chains), business travel, waste and water, etc.
